What every driver goes through
These five checks run in order. Failing any one means permanent rejection — no appeals.
Criminal Background Check
Nationwide criminal history search covering felony convictions, misdemeanors, sex offender registry, and global watchlists. Any disqualifying record — immediate rejection. This check repeats every 6 months for all active drivers.
Government ID Verification
Drivers submit a government-issued photo ID. Our AI reads the document, verifies authenticity and expiry, and cross-validates every field against their application. Expired, altered, or unverifiable IDs result in immediate rejection.
Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
A full driving history report is pulled — DUIs, major traffic violations, license suspensions, and at-fault accidents. Serious violations are automatically disqualifying and no manual review overrides this.
AI Face Match + Liveness
Drivers submit a live selfie. Our AI compares it against the government ID photo with liveness detection (preventing photos-of-photos spoofing). This check also repeats daily before each shift starts.
Human Review & Final Approval
Every application is reviewed by a member of our Trust & Safety team before activation. Borderline or flagged cases are escalated. Only a unanimous clean pass on all 5 layers produces an active Glide driver account.
